二、医院简介：
中山大学附属第一医院黄埔院区（简称黄埔院区）前身是广州市黄埔区人民医院，1999年由原中山医科大学接管，2001年在原中山大学与原中山医科大学合并组成新的中山大学后划入中山大学附属第一医院，目前是中山大学附属第一医院的一个院区，是广州东部地区专业设置最齐全、设备最先进、设施最完善、规模最大，集医疗、教学、科研、预防、保健为一体，以骨科和创伤急救为重点的三级甲等综合性医院。黄埔院区于1995年通过国家爱婴医院评审；1998年获全省“百佳文明医院”，并连续多次被评为市、区先进单位；2002年成为广州市第一批医疗保险定点单位，并被评为广州市2002年社保年度城镇职工基本医疗保险服务先进单位。2001年，中共中央政治局常委李长春同志曾亲临院区视察指导工作，并为院区题词：“坚持科技创新、体制创新、制度创新，努力创办一流水准的医院。”
Huangpu Medical Center of the First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University, is a 3A hospital (top level in the Chinese hospital ranking system) focusing on orthopeadics and trauma emergency, and also a comprehensive hospital that provides medical services, teaching, research, prevention and rehabilitation. It is the biggest hospital with most complete disciplines, most advanced equipments、and most optimized establishment. Huangpu Medical Center is previous People’s Hospital of Huangpu District, in 1999 was taken over by former Sun Yat-sen Medical Sciences College, and then in 2001 was emerged into the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. Huangpu Hospital was granted philoinfant hospital in 1995, awarded the title of 100 Civilized Hospital in Guangdong Province in 1998, and has successively won the honor of Advanced Union in Guangzhou province and Huangpu district. The hospital was the first to join Appointed Medical Insurance Hospitals in 2002 and appraised the Excellent Service Union for Workers and Staff Members' Medical Insurance Rights in Cities and Towns in 2002. Li Chang-Chun, Politburo Standing Committee member of CPC Central Committee, inspected Huangpu Hospital In 2001 and made an inscription “Adhere to scientific renovation, institutional renovation and system renovation, to build a first-class hospital”.

Huangpu Hospital, as one part of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, makes full use of main campus’s resources. 黄埔院区开放病床480张，现有员工734名，其中高级职称专家63名，中级职称136人；博士导师4名，硕士导师12名；医学博士、硕士112名。院区常年门急诊人次逾50万，住院病人逾1万人次。
There are 734 staff, including 63 professors, 136 attending doctors, 4 supervisors for PhD students, and 12 supervisors for Master students, 112 PhD and Masters. The Hospital has 480 opening beds, provides service to 500000 out-patients, and 10000 inpatients annually.
